Gel batteries for forklifts

Gel traction batteries are sealed lead-acid batteries with thixotropic gel electrolyte, where sulfuric acid is immobilized in silica gel. Unlike liquid electrolyte, the gel prevents leakage and minimizes gas emissions.

Advantages of our forklift batteries:

  • carbon additives in the lead plates increase conductivity by 15–20%, improve charge acceptance at C/5–C/10, and reduce degradation by 30%;
  • 400–700 cycles, 50–100% more than AGM alternatives, for intensive operation;
  • gel immobilizes the electrolyte, prevents stratification, and extends service life to 5–7 years;
  • tubular electrodes limit self-discharge to 1–3% per month and support operation from -40 to +50 °C.
